eBayers vs other online shoppers

Having worked at various other e-commerce sites, I've never come into contact with such idiotas. At least not the extent of an eBayer. I'm not saying that everyone is an idiot, but there are more idiots on eBay than on other e-commerce sites. At least based on a % of sales.

I rarely had someone send the incorrect amount for their purchase. It happened on a few occasions, but it was because they used a coupon that didnt go through our system or forgot to include sales tax. Pretty mundane.

I rarely had people ask where their packages were. They knew to check the tracking first. The only times they asked was when their tracking info seemed to just stop. Not eBayers, they keep asking two days after its been shipped and then every other day until they get it.

One thing that I really foudn interesting is that on eBay, the shipping price is staetd right below the item. Whereas the other e-commerce sites, the shipping info is buried in the site and then calculated after you begin to checkout.

Why is it that eBayers insist on emailing for the shipping cost? It's understandable if its for more than 1 item and you are confused on how to combine them both, but, why are you asking when its only for 1 item?

And then there's the actual shipping cost for heavy items. eBayers don't seem to understand that shipping is based on weight. The only thing they know is that they do not want to pay for something where the shipping is double the item cost. Normally this makes sense, but when you buy something that weighs 10 pounds and only cost you $1.99, of course shipping is going to be more than the item. eBayers don't seem to understand this concept. Regular shoppers do. I've rarely seen this type of question, whereas with eBay I get at least 5 a day.

I'm done for today. I needed to vent this out before I start working again.
